Chapter 8 in "Beyond the Soul" went through some serious changes during the editing process. The biggest change was how I wrote the character of Gabriel. Currently, I have written him as a "Biblical" angel, or at least as close as I can get to describing him in a way that matches up with what we read in Scripture of who angels are and what they do (i.e., they are God's messengers and serve no other purpose or interest). Originally, however, I had written him as more of a "fantasy romance novel" angel, where he revealed other feelings/ interests beyond his purpose (particularly for Emer XD). Here is part of that original draft:
